ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

This full-time position is responsible for developing, implementing, and servicing effective VEGAS TV advertising schedules for prospective and existing accounts.  This includes primary responsibility for seeking prospective advertisers - local agency and direct and national/regional agency and direct which may involve out of market travel and overnight stays. The Account Executive acts as account manager for commercial sales to customers of the station by establishing business relationships that encourage buying of advertising time and suggesting and helping develop creative and innovative sales initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Must be able to establish positive relationships with customers and prospective customers.   Ability to read and respond to requests, business correspondence and memos presented in English.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization using the English language. Must be familiar with Nielsen ratings, Monitor Plus, Marketron, Scarborough, Profile DMA, Media Center, VCI  or another broadcast sales/traffic system, advertising terminology, production procedures and creative marketing practices.  Must be able to use Microsoft Office products.  Must be able to operate general office equipment. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.  Minimum 2 years media sales experience with television sales experience preferred.    Must provide own transportation. If operating a vehicle: must  possess a current Nevada Driver's License, proof of good driving record and proof of minimum insurance required by Nevada laws.
